Amy is 28 and is from Harlow in Essex.
AS Level in Sociology and A levels in Art and design, Photography and English Literature.
Amy then studied 3D glass design for a year and studied a foundation course in order to progress onto an Art Degree but instead found Floristry at age 21.
She then studied her level 2,3 and 4 in Floristry and achieved the highest grade in the country for her level 4 practical exam.
Since then she has been competing in both National and International competitions and working in a retail studio whilst also working in a restaurant as a waitress to support her change in career and competition expenses.
Whilst studying for her level 3 she competed in UK Skills.
Last year she came third in her heat for the RHS Chelsea Florist of the Year Competition and was awarded a Gold award and two Bronze awards by The Fusion Flowers International Designer of the Year Competition and was asked to assist them with their annual Wedding photo shoot. This year Amy came 5th overall with a bronze and two Silver Awards! This Year Amy won her heat for Chelsea and will be competing in the final in May.Amy was part of Team Fusion Flowers for Flowers at Chicheley Hall 2011 and was recently on the team that created the floral dress for the Asda’s Valentines advertising campaign. The dress was made from over 1700 red roses weighed more than two stone and took 170 hours total “man” hours.Amy’s professional life is really taking off now and she and her business partner Amy Curtis are just waiting to hear about a premises for their new business Curtis & Ford based in Colchester Essex.
